Who is JR training systems?

I’m Jake Richardson. I’ve been privately training people since 2015.

Most of my clients come to me dealing with something. Chronic pain. Extra weight they can’t seem to lose. Injuries that won’t heal. They’ve tried other gyms and felt lost or self-conscious. They need a clear plan and someone who actually listens.

I get it. I suffered several injuries playing lacrosse and that’s what got me into personal training. I wanted to understand how the body works, how to rebuild it, and how to make it more resilient. That injury changed everything for me.

How I Work

JR Training Systems is a private gym. When you train here, it’s just you and me. No crowds. No one watching. No waiting for equipment.

Every program I write is built for you. Not a template. I look at your body, your goals, what’s holding you back, and I build a plan that actually fits your life.

I’ve worked with clients from eight years old to their mid-90s. People recovering from lung transplants, managing MS, dealing with arthritis and chronic pain. MMA athletes training for competition. People who just want to walk up stairs without their knees hurting.

I’m certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (CPPS), Precision Nutrition Level 1, and FST Level 2. But honestly, what matters more is that I’ve spent nearly a decade figuring out how to help people who are new to training or dealing with pain actually make progress.

What Else I Do

I run PosturePlus, a corporate wellness program. Local businesses like RBC, Manning Elliott LLP, and the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce bring me in to help their teams move better and feel better at work.

I also help other coaches grow their businesses by improving their systems and client results. And when I’m not working, I enjoy exploring Kamloops and spending time with my family.

I don’t do gimmicks or quick fixes. I tell you the truth about what’s realistic, and then I help you build the habits and strength to actually get there.
